Emirates Airlines
Emirates, a Dubai based airline, operates daily services from New Zealand to Australia, Dubai, Europe and a variety of other destinations. From Auckland, the airline offers three flights a day – via Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. From Christchurch, a daily service flies via Sydney to Dubai. Emirates has renowned as having one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world, with the New Zealand services are operated by advanced Airbus A340-500 and Boeing 777 aircraft. All flights from New Zealand are full service and offer the choice of Economy, Business or First Class seating.
Emirates operates flights from Christchurch to Dubai (via Sydney), Auckland to Dubai (via Melbourne non-stop, Sydney and Singapore, Brisbane and Bangkok).

Emirates Airlines
Emirates are the official international airline of the United Arab Emirates. The airline is wholly owned by the Government of Dubai and has its main hub at Dubai International Airport. At the 2007 Aviation Business Awards, the airline was voted Airline of the Year. The airline currently flies to over 90 destinations in 6 continents.
Emirates aircraft have First, Business and Economy class cabins. Complimentary meals and beverages are available to passengers in all classes. At the 2007 Skytrax Awards for Airline Excellence, Emirates Airlines was the winner of the Best Airline Inflight Entertainment Award. On many flights, this will be the ICE (Information, Communication, Entertainment) system, which offers over 600 entertainment channels and live BBC news. Emirates has recently introduced new Bvlgari amenity kits for passengers in First and Business class on flights over seven hours duration and night flights.
A complimentary chauffeur-driven car service is available for First and Business Class passengers travelling within 110 km of Johannesburg’s OR Thambo Airport. This is also available for passengers within 100km of Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town airports.
Skywards is the frequent flyer programme of Emirates Airlines. The tiers of membership in the scheme are Blue, Silver and Gold. Passengers may earn reward points by flying with Emirates or Sri Lankan. Points may also be accumulated through flights and purchases with Emirates’ other partner airlines and non-travel partners. Benefits of membership include upgrades and free flights with both Emirates and their partner airlines. Passengers who do not have time to manage their points may nominate a Travel Coordinator to interact with Emirates on their behalf. Passengers under the age of 18 may join the SkySurfers section of the Skywards programme.
Access to Emirates lounges is available to First and Business Class passengers and to Skywards Gold members. Emirates lounges offer complimentary cuisine, newspapers, TVs, showers and Business Centres, amongst other facilities.

Emirates is the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates and is based at Dubai International Airport. Emirates flies from Houston and New York in the United States to destinations worldwide, including a daily direct flight from New York JFK to Hamburg and a non-stop flight from Houston to Dubai.
Emirates aircraft are equipped with First, Business and Economy classes on its international flights. Lounge access is available for First and Business Class passengers. Inflight meals and entertainment are available for passengers in all classes.
A Chauffeur Service is available at selected destinations for passengers travelling in First or Business class. In the United States, this is available at Houston (within 60 miles of George Bush Intercontinental Airport) and New York (within 60 miles of New York JFK Airport).
The Emirates loyalty program for frequent flyers is called Skywards and is run in conjunction with SriLankan airlines. Children may join Skysurfers which, like the adult program, offers the opportunity to earn reward flights.

The fleet has increased from 2 in 1985 to 106 in 2007. The main hub of the airline is Dubai International Airport, where it accounts for more than 50% of traffic.
On Emirates airlines, First, Business and Economy classes are available. First and Business class passengers can take advantage of a complimentary chauffeur service from selected airports. There are mileage limits for this service within the UK for Business class passengers, but not for those travelling First class. First and Business passengers may also use the Emirates lounges, offering business facilities, international newspapers and a full bar service. All classes offer inflight meals and entertainment.
Skywards is the frequent flyer programme run by Emirates and SriLankan airlines. Membership levels are Blue, Silver and Gold and points can be earned by flying with Emirates or SriLankan airlines and through purchases with travel and non-travel partners. All levels offer the opportunity to obtain free flights. Silver and Gold offer instant upgrade facilities, lounge access and extra baggage allowances. Skysurfers is the frequent flyer programme for children and offers the potential to earn free flights.
