Nationwide Airlines
Nationwide Airlines is a South African based airline which began operations in 1991 as a charter airline. The airline has grown considerably since its origins and now operates 350 flight services each week to regional and international destinations, including London Gatwick and Paris. The airline has an aircraft fleet of 17 Boeing aeroplanes. Nationwide’s main hub is Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport (JNB).
Business and Economy class passengers are permitted to bring one item of hand luggage into the aircraft cabin. The weight restrictions for hand luggage for Business and Economy classes are 12kg and 7kg respectively. For checked-in baggage the weight restrictions are 30kg for Business Class passengers and 20kg for Economy class passengers.
A complimentary inflight meal and beverage service is available on all flights for passengers in Business class and on long haul and regional flights for those travelling in Economy class. The service provided is dependant on flight duration and what time of the day the flight is. Economy class passengers on domestic routes may purchase meals and beverages onboard. Inflight entertainment is provided on all long haul flights travelled on the Boeing 767-300 aircraft, this includes audio and visual programming.
Nationwide Exclusive is a corporate programme to reward frequent flyers with the airline. Applications are accepted from individuals or businesses who spend in excess of R50,000 per annum. Benefits of membership include preferential airfares, additional baggage allowance and no penalty charges for flight changes.
